Plant a Counter Coalture garden on any location you can legally access, as an act of solidarity with others around the globe to express opposition to the negative impacts coal mining, washing, burning, and disposing has upon the Earth and our communities.  

On June 7th, 2009, this website will be dedicated, so please feel free to dedicate your gardens at that time, in the memory of a loved one if you wish, as a part of the Counter COALture Garden Counteraction. If you miss the June 7th date, you're not too late, as garden dedications can be made throughout the year.

Please include any information you feel compelled to, including location, local issues of concern, and whom the garden is being dedicated to. 

Embracing Nature's wisdom...Nature teaches us that all things start small. Embracing this wisdom, no effort to participate is too small! Plantings can be any size based upon available resources. Container gardens, window boxes and flower pots full of herbs, are welcome. While our COALture Garden Counteraction may not be united in one location, it will be united in spirit, as we plant a garden that can circle the globe. 

Positive and Purposeful...This is not only symbolic effort, but also provides real opportunity for citizens to counteract some of the harmful effects of coal mining by restoring natural beauty, beneficial plant life and oxygen producers to our shared world and hearts.
